Casa dei Bombardieri is a delightful 45 m² apartment, located a few steps from the Church San Francesco della Vigna , from the Arsenal and at only about 8 minutes walk from San Marco Square.
The apartment consists of an entrace hall, a double bedroom which, on request, can become twin beds, a kitchen, a cosy living room, bathroom with bidet and shower, and is located on the 4th floor of a building built in 1575, which at the time was inhabited by the “Bombardieri”, who built the bombards for the ships of the Serenissima Republic in the nearby Arsenale.
It is very bright and enjoys an amazing view over the roofs of Castello and the Church San Francesco. It has been recently restored trying to maintain the original atmosphere and style, creating a very pleasant and comfortable holiday home where guests feel as at home, their home in Venice!
The apartment is easily reachable both from the airport and from the train station and Piazzale Roma. From the nearest public boat stop (Celestia) the islands Murano, Burano, Torcello, Sant’Erasmo and the Lido beach can be reached in short time.
The area is very well served by grocery stores as well as by renowned restaurants and cheaper tipical “trattorie”.
